Job summary

VJ Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and service our x-ray inspection systems at customer sites. Travel up to 60% with work out of East Haven, CT and Bohemia, NY as needed.

You will train customers, diagnose issues, and coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and hands-on assembly skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of field service experience with direct customer interface.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain x-ray systems and components on customer sites.
• Provide on-site and remote customer support as required.
• Train customers in the operation and maintenance of x-ray systems and components.
• Identify and analyze problem sources; recommend corrective actions and parts replacement as needed.
• Interact with cross-disciplinary teams to resolve customer problems and provide service.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks in the field.
