Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking a regular, full-time 10-month Writing Tutor to support TRIO SSS grant-funded tutoring in writing at the Springfield Campus. The role provides students with targeted writing assistance and participates in program activities through September 24, 2030, with annual evaluations.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in English/Education or related field and two years of related experience, with strong communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field and two years of related experience, or equivalent.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Access, and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Tutors individuals and small groups in writing and composition.
• Develops and implements peer tutor training.
• Coordinates and implements classroom visits, workshops, and outreach to recruit eligible students.
