Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in a related field.
• Experience tutoring or related field.
• Experience with online and in-person tutoring.
• Ability to tutor remotely via phone and video platforms (Zoom, Teams).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of APA/MLA formatting and academic writing standards.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Pacific Oaks College's programs and resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to individual students and small groups, in-person and online.
• Connect with students via phone, email, or video conferencing to deliver remote writing support.
• Meet with students on campus to review and provide feedback on assignments.
• Utilize tools to enhance learning experiences and manage daily Learning Center operations.
• Collaborate with staff and students to support academic success.
• Lead writing workshops and develop learning materials when needed.
