The College of Southern Nevada is seeking a Writing Specialist to provide high-level support to students and the Centers for Academic Success Coordinator. You will coordinate services, manage projects, and guide less experienced staff while helping writers across disciplines.

You will also assist with outreach, maintain data, and contribute to staff development, with opportunities to work on resumes, cover letters, and scholarship essays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a writing-intensive field or related experience.
• 1–2 years of experience providing writing support, tutoring, academic support, or related educational services.
• Ability to locate, evaluate, and document credible sources in MLA/APA formats.

Responsabilités

• Work one-on-one with CSN community to discuss written work and guide the writing process.
• Assist campus coordinator in researching and implementing best practice trends and develop training materials.
• Provide administrative support including scheduling, payroll verification, and office supplies management.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and CSN trainings and conferences.
• Report to the coordinator daily and weekly.
