Job summary

Oakland University Writing Center seeks graduate and undergraduate students with significant writing experience beyond first year writing. Consultants work one-on-one with campus writers at all stages of the writing process, create and offer presentations on writing-related topics, and research center services.

Preference is given to students who have completed WRT 3062: Writing Center Studies and who have experience with online tutoring.

Qualifications

• Significant writing experience beyond first year writing.
• Experience with tutoring (in person or online) is preferred.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations on writing-related topics.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring to campus writers at all stages of the writing process.
• Create and deliver presentations on writing-related topics.
• Research and promote center services to students.
