Job summary

TelevisaUnivision's Network News team is seeking a Writer to join the newsroom in Miami. You will produce and copy-edit daily news programs, translate between English and Spanish, and ensure accurate graphics and scripts.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in communication/journalism or equivalent, 2 years writing experience, and fluency in English and Spanish. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communication/Journalism or equivalent experience.
• 2 years' experience writing.
• Fluent in English & Spanish (read and write).
• Strong news judgment, accuracy and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Produce and copy-edit daily news programs including newscasts and special coverage.
• Copy-edit news stories and correspondents' scripts.
• Translate from English to Spanish and revise graphics and supers.
• Respond quickly to breaking news and updates on shows.

• Responsible for working on the daily production of news programs including newscasts and special coverage.
• Copy-edit news stories including correspondents' scripts
• Translate aptly from English to Spanish
• Revise spelling for graphics and supers
• Quick reaction to breaking news and possible show news updates
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor's degree in communication/Journalism or equivalent experience
• Strong news judgment
• Excellent writing skills.
• Fast reacting to breaking news
• Ability to step out of the box and take charge of situations.
• 2 years' experience writing
• Fluent in English & Spanish (read and write)
• Attention to detail, strong communication skills
