Job summary

TelevisaUnivision, Inc. is seeking a Writer to join our Network News team in Miami. The role involves daily production of news programs, copy-editing, translation between English and Spanish, and quick responses to breaking news.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism, strong writing skills, and fluency in English and Spanish, with at least two years of writing experience. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communication/Journalism or equivalent experience.
Strong news judgment and excellent writing skills required.
Fluent in English and Spanish (read and write).

Responsibilities

Work on the daily production of news programs including newscasts and special coverage.
Copy-edit news stories including correspondents’ scripts.
Translate from English to Spanish.
Revise spelling for graphics and supers.
Provide quick reaction to breaking news and update shows as needed.
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
