Qualifications

• New Jersey Standard Teacher Certification or County Teacher Certification.
• Knowledge of the sport to be coached.
• Knowledge of NJSIAA conference and school regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operation of the team and assume responsibility when the head coach is absent.
• Attend all meetings, practices, scrimmages, and games.
• Follow the head coach's directives regarding drills, practices and teaching techniques.
• Coach sub-varsity games according to head coach directives.
• Assist in distributing and collecting uniforms and equipment and teach proper care.
• Supervise players with the head coach at all times.
• Assist in preparing the budget and contacting players regarding practices and games.
• Teach athletes proper sportsmanship, attitudes, and behaviors.
