Job summary

Ashland High School is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach (Temporary) to support the wrestling program under the head coach. You will help run practices, teach skills, and guide student‑athletes toward peak performance during the season.

Candidates should have coaching experience, OSAA Coaching Certification, and a valid first aid/CPR card. The role requires reliability, good communication with players and parents, and adherence to district policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• OSAA Coaching Certification is required.
• Previous experience coaching in the sport and leadership skills desired.
• Valid first aid/CPR card is required.

Responsibilities

• Holds or assists organized, supervised practice as the program requires.
• Teaches all of the skills necessary to participate in the sport.
• Teaches the strategies necessary to participate in the sport.
• Teaches drills and exercises for developing strength, stamina, and speed.
• Assists in developing seasonal goals and daily practice plans.
• Promotes sportsmanship and maintains positive relationships with staff and community.
