Job summary

SCN BestCo in Tennessee is seeking a reliable 3rd shift machine operator to support candy wrapping lines. You will follow batch records, load materials, start up the wrapping equipment and keep the line running to meet production targets.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, readiness to work overtime, and strict adherence to cGMP and safety policies. Experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
• Open to work any shift, including overtime.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform sanitation.
• Basic computer knowledge; log cGMP SOP training and emails.

Responsibilities

• Follow batch records and complete reports accurately.
• Visually inspect machine and ensure it rotates freely.
• Load and thread wrapping material as per production schedule.
• Start up wrapping machine with proper settings.
• Coordinate with Material Handler to keep candy supply and wrap.
• Check wrap quality every 5–10 minutes for correct cut lengths.
• Maintain full operational knowledge of wrapping machine and diagnose minor faults.
• Follow LOTO and cgmp procedures during cleaning/maintenance.
• Report mechanical problems to supervisor or maintenance.
• Disassemble and clean wrapping machines.
• Keep the work area clean at all times.
• Follow cGMP daily functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
