Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Family Support Provider to work under supervision within the Brief Stay Therapeutic Home team. The role focuses on delivering child-centered services and coordinating with families to prevent out-of-home placements.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience navigating child-serving systems, with an emphasis on families accessing community resources and wraparound supports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience accessing state and community resources and helping families access resources.
• Experience raising a child with behavioral/emotional issues.
• Experience accessing services for children with behavioral/emotional issues and navigating the child serving system.
• Core competencies related to individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assist families in developing and recruiting informal supports to be part of the Family Team meetings.
• Complete (or co-complete) Strengths Needs Cultural Discovery (SNCD) assessments, Functional Assessments/Crisis Plans, Safety Plans, and Care Plans/Updates.
• Provide support for families with the goal of utilizing their natural supports that are client-centered and culturally appropriate.
