Job summary

Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med/Surg and TCU Department. This is a full-time position with weekend nights on 12-hour shifts (Friday and Saturday) plus one weekday shift, totaling 36 hours per week.

Under the Nursing Department supervision, you will perform receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit, serve as the focal point of communication in the nursing station, and assist staff nurses with patient care in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Indiana CNA license is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience with EMR systems (Cerner) is preferred.

Job description

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med/Surg and TCU Department.

This position is full-time, weekend nights, 12 hour shifts (Friday/Saturday) plus 1 day during the week, 36 hours per week.

Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing this position performs the receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit; serves as the focal communication source in the nursing station through interaction with patients, visitors, staff, other departments and physicians; and assists the staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital. This employee demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, to adequately assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to provide age-specific needs.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent
• Valid CNA License in the State of Indiana
• CPR
