Job summary

Sylvan Shores Health & Wellness is seeking a part-time Wound Care/Treatment Nurse (RN or LVN) to join our caregiving team in La Porte, Texas. This role requires a current RN or LVN license (or Compact State) and experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.

Certification in Wound Care/Treatment is preferred. Responsibilities include ensuring adequate resident care staffing, participating in staff coaching and hiring decisions, supervising care delivery, and implementing community procedures

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid RN or LVN nursing license (or Compact State license).
• Experience in Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing is a plus.
• Certified Wound Care/Treatment Nurse.

• Shift: Part-Time every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Take appropriate action to assure adequate staffing to provide resident care.


• Participate in coaching/discipline, hiring and termination decisions of direct care staff.


• Supervise and assess resident care and take appropriate action.


• Implement Community procedures to provide resident care.

Must Haves

• Must have a current and valid LVN or RN nursing license or a current and valid LVN or RN license from a Compact Party State.


• Experience in Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing a Plus. Healthcare experience (Skilled Nursing) is a must
