Job summary

The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, LLC in El Paso, TX is seeking a Wound Care Technician. You will work under the clinic team to coordinate patient care and ensure patient safety, with duties including wound assessment, EMR documentation, and potentially patient transport.

The role requires EMT/CNA/CMA certification, BLS, and a valid driver’s license. You will support physicians and RNs, adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards, and participate in cross-training to ensure

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active EMT, CNA, or CMA certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; Chauffeur’s license may be required in some states.
• Experience using an EMR system for patient documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• All required licenses/certifications must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and document in EMR.
• Assist physicians and RNs with wound care procedures.
• Measure and photograph wounds; send home care orders.
• Maintain clean and stocked patient care areas; infection control.
• Follow safety and HIPAA policies; communicate changes to supervisors.
• Educate patients on wound care and HBO therapy.
• Transport patients to appointments if required.
• Participate in onboarding and training of new staff.
