Job summary

The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, LLC in El Paso, TX is seeking a Wound Care Technician to support patient care and wound treatment under supervision. The role includes vital signs, EMR documentation, wound measurements, and coordination of supplies.

Responsibilities include assisting doctors and nurses, maintaining clean patient areas, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and safety protocols; travel may be required, and a valid EMT/CNA/CMA is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active EMT, CNA, or CMA certification is required.
• Current BLS certification from a recognized agency.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Experience using an EMR system for patient documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused care in a fast-paced team.
• HIPAA policies and confidentiality must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and document in EMR; measure and photograph wounds.
• Assist physicians and RNs with wound care procedures.
• Clean and stock patient care areas; maintain infection control.
• Follow policies to ensure patient safety during wound care and HBO procedures.
• Inform management of changes in working conditions or concerns.
• Perform patient education on wound care and hyperbaric therapy.
