Job summary

Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is seeking a skilled RN to join its Wound Care team. You will provide clinical expertise in wound care, ostomy management, wound vac therapy, and complex skin conditions in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities include assessment, education, stomal marking, discharge planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. BSN required, RN license, WOCN certification within 2 years, and 3–5 years direct care experience; BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of work; MSN preferred.
• WOCN certification within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan care for ostomy and wound patients.
• Identify interventions to prevent skin breakdown and manage wounds.
• Perform stomal marking preoperatively and provide education.
• Discharge planning and follow-up for complex wound patients.
• Collaborate with medical teams to prevent pressure ulcers and manage fistulas.
• Maintain evidence-based guidelines for ostomy and skin care.
