Job summary

CaroMont Health in North Carolina seeks a Wound Specialist, RN, to deliver expert clinical care in inpatient and outpatient settings under the Hyperbaric & Wound Center Director. The role combines RN duties with Hyperbaric Technician CEW use, and requires close collaboration with the medical and ancillary staff to enhance patient outcomes.

The position offers BSN preferred, NC RN license, BLS, and wound/ostomy certification when available, along with competitive benefits and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Current NC RN license to practice (or multi-state compact).
• BSN preferred.
• Specialty certification in Wound or Ostomy preferred.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and communicate for the patient.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with medical and ancillary staff to improve patient outcomes.
• Utilize Hyperbaric Technician CEW in addition to RN duties.
• Educate patients and staff as needed.

Wound Specialist, RN - CaroMont Health

Job Summary

Functions in the role of expert clinician and educator care patients. May provide care in the inpatient and outpatient setting, as directed by the Hyperbaric & Wound Center Director. In collaboration with the medical and ancillary staff, it provides and monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical support to improve patient care and outcomes to any service or ancillary of CaroMont Health. The Registered Nurse who is also trained as a hyperbaric technician, will utilize the Hyperbaric Technician CEW in addition to the RN.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
• BSN preferred.
• Specialty certification (Wound or Ostomy) preferred.
• Ability to work with the multidisciplinary team and communicate with all members on behalf of the patient.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good critical thinking skills that result in positive patient outcomes.
• BLS required.
