Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center is seeking an experienced WOC nurse to join the Ostomy & Wound Care Team. You will provide specialty care for complex wounds, ostomies, and skin management in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

This full-time role requires RN licensure, BSN, WOCN certification within 2 years, and 3–5 years of direct care experience, with BLS. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, educate patients, and contribute to evidence-based guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license required.
• WOCN certification within 2 years of hire.
• Three to five years of direct care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan care and education for ostomy and wound care patients.
• Identify interventions for skin breakdown and wound management.
• Perform stomal marking preoperatively and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with medical team to prevent and treat pressure ulcers and complex wounds.
• Evaluate effectiveness of wound care interventions and update care plans.
• Develop evidence-based guidelines for ostomy and skin care.
