Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Columbus (Vic Village) is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized wound care in a critical illness recovery setting. This PRN/Per Diem role offers a $50.00 hourly compensation and requires an active RN license in the state, with BLS certification at start date and wound care training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• At least 1 year of related experience is required.
• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS certification by start date is required.
• Wound care training must be completed within 90 days in the role.

Responsibilities

• Preserve skin integrity by implementing and monitoring skin preservation strategies.
• Ensure wound and skin care protocols are approved by medical staff.
• Organize multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds weekly for high-risk patients and those with current pressure ulcers.
• Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds.
• Serve as a resource to hospital staff on wound and skin care issues.
• Ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
