Job summary

Select Medical’s SSH-Madison unit is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) to support post-ICU patient care. This PRN/Per Diem role emphasizes hands-on wound care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to hospital protocols in a high-acuity setting.

The position requires an RN with AD, BLS, and wound care training within 90 days, with a strong commitment to compassionate patient care and readiness for orientation and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• AD (Associate's degree in Nursing) required.
• 1 year of related experience required.
• Valid State RN License.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Must complete wound care training in the first 90 days in the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound and skin care for complex cases and non-healing wounds.
• Organize multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds on a weekly basis for high-risk patients.
• Serve as a resource to hospital staff on wound and skin care practices.
• Ensure all wound care protocols are approved by medical staff and regulatory requirements are met.
