Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, Texas, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Advanced Wound Care Center as a Wound Care RN PRN. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care within an award-winning program that offers complex HBOT, advanced dressings, and NPWT under a hyperbaric physician supervision.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, Texas RN license (or compact with Texas licensing within 90 days), current BLS, and at least two years of Med-Surg

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact license; must obtain Texas license within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS from American Heart Association required.
• 2 years Med-Surg nursing experience in a hospital; wound care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalized treatment plans for patients in the Wound Healing Center.
• Assist physicians with design and execution of specialized wound treatment plans and tests.
• Deliver hyperbaric oxygen therapy and modalities under supervision of a hyperbaric physician.
• Uphold AWCC nursing standards under supervision of Clinical Operations Manager.
• Work within federal/state laws and Joint Commission standards, maintaining ethical nursing practice.
• Participate in department performance improvement activities to optimize safety and healing rates.
