George Washington University Hospital (GW Hospital) in Washington, DC, is seeking a Wound Care RN to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to expert wound, ostomy, and continence care. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of nursing experience (1+ year in wound care), with BSN preferred. CWCN certification is advantageous; DC RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ASN considered with relevant experience.
• CWCN certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in wound care.
• Strong assessment, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex wound care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide direct wound care and educate patients and families on wound management, prevention, and treatment options.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Serve as a wound care resource for staff, providing guidance and training to improve patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care.
