Job summary

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, acting as a clinical expert in wound, ostomy, and continence care within a larger integrated delivery network.

The role requires an ADN (BSN preferred), DC RN license, 2–3 years of acute care experience, and a Wound Care Certification.

Qualifications

• ADN required; DC RN license required.
• 2–3 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Experience in wound care, med-surg, or critical care preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWON, or WOCN) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop care plans.
• Provide direct care for complex wounds including pressure injuries and ulcers.
• Implement evidence-based wound care treatments and monitor progress.
• Serve as a clinical resource on wound care for staff and providers.
• Educate patients and families on wound prevention and skin care.
• Participate in rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.
