Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Wound Care/Hyperbaric Outpatient Clinic in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time days position supports an outpatient wound care setting with a magnet-designated facility and self-scheduling to promote work-life balance.

Requirements include an associate degree or nursing diploma, RN licensure, BLS, and 1 year of RN experience. BSN preferred and CHRN/CWCN/CWON/CWOCN certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year experience as a registered nurse.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• Current BLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• Experience in outpatient wound care setting (preferred) and/or inpatient wound care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Responsible for delivery of wound care in an outpatient setting.
• Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.
• Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete.
• Patient/family teaching and discharge instructions, referrals and supply needs.
• Utilizes evidence-based practice to administer wound care services.

Education

Associate degree or Nursing Diploma

BSN preferred

RN licensure (Current) or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing

BLS certification

CHRN - Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse 12 Months Pref

CWCN - Certified Wound Care Nurse 12 Months Pref

CWON - Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse 12 Months Pref

CWOCN - Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse 12 Months Pref
