Job summary

Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Wound Care/Hyperbaric Outpatient Clinic. This full-time daytime role offers self-scheduling and a Magnet-designated facility within the Texas Health system.

You will provide wound care using the Nursing Process, collaborate with the care team, and educate patients and families. Requirements include RN licensure, BLS, and wound care experience; additional certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• One-year experience as a registered nurse.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• Current BLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• Experience in outpatient wound care setting (preferred) and/or inpatient wound care.
• CHRN - Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse 12 Months Pref Or
• CWCN - Certified Wound Care Nurse 12 Months Pref Or
• CWON - Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse 12 Months Pref Or
• CWOCN - Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse 12 Months Pref

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Responsible for delivery of wound care in an outpatient setting.
• Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.
• Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete.
• Patient/family teaching and discharge instructions, referrals and supply needs.
• Utilizes evidence-based practice to administer wound care services.
