Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed LPN or RN with NC license.
• High school diploma required.
• Flexible, dependable and able to collaborate with nursing staff.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations is expected.
• Ability to teach, orient, and provide in-services as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete head to toe assessments on new admissions and re-admissions.
• Provide skin treatments and manage wound care as ordered.
• Inform attending physicians and residents' families about wound conditions.
• Administer medications within the RN/LPN scope of practice.
• Maintain current documentation on wounds and care plans.
• Participate in wound meetings and in-services.
• Respond promptly to call lights and maintain resident comfort and dignity.
• Adhere to infection control and standard precautions.
• Assist with other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
