Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Etowah, Tennessee, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Wound Care in the Long Term Care unit. This full-time day shift (7am–7pm) includes rotating weekends and a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants.

The RN will provide wound care and range of nursing duties per policy, and participate in care conferences and ongoing education. Qualified candidates hold an Associate's degree in nursing (BSN preferred) with Tennessee RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Active Tennessee RN license required.
• BLS certification required at hire; PALS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care per plan of care and physician direction.
• Demonstrate knowledge to care for patients on the unit per competencies.
• Ensure accurate patient care documentation.
• Implement and assure compliance with wound center and hospital policies.
• Maintain familiarity with regulatory standards.
• Report quality of care issues to clinical manager or director.
• Ensure availability of equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with the team regarding therapeutic interventions.
