MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN) to serve as a clinical resource and consultant, delivering expert wound care and educating the nursing team to improve patient outcomes.

The role requires a BSN, active RN license, and 3–4 years of wound care experience, with program completion in a WOCN Education Program or within 12 months. Competitive salary ranges accompany a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Wound care experience required.
• Graduation from an accredited Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program required or completion within twelve months of employment.
• 3-4 years progressivel y more responsible job-related experience required.
• Current RN license.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care for patients throughout the hospital.
• Provide direct care and education to selected patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Educate and develop associates in wound care best practices.
• Recommend appropriate wound care products, equipment, and treatments.
• Participate in hospital committees, projects, and quality initiatives.
