Job summary

Northwell Career Site is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform age-specific care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians, and lead the patient care unit team.

Current NY State RN license is required; BSN is preferred, with enrollment in BSN program within two years and completion within five years of entry date.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.

Responsibilities

• Performs age-specific plan of care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Collaborates with physicians and health team members to coordinate procedures and treatments.
• Leads and delegates activities of the patient care unit team while maintaining safety and quality of care.
• Interviews patients, explains policies, assesses multiple health domains, documents plans, and prepares discharge instructions.
