Job summary

TriCities Hospital in Hopewell, VA seeks a Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team. You will follow established nursing models and advocate for safety and exceptional outcomes.

You will assess patients, administer prescribed therapies, document care, and educate patients and families about conditions and treatment plans, with a focus on wound care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN Virginia license or compact multistate license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• 1–2 years of wound care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and during shifts; report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, document care accurately.
• Respond to patient requests quickly and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up; translate complex medical terms.
