Job summary

Qualifications

• Nurse must be licensed (RN or LPN).

• Responsibilities include wound assessment, treatment planning, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Wound assessment and treatment: evaluate wounds, determine type, stage and size, create plans.
• Wound care procedures: clean, debride, apply dressings with sterile technique.
• Monitoring and documentation: track patient progress and coding for reimbursement, including Medicare.
• Education: teach residents and families on wound care, infection prevention, and pressure ulcer prevention.
• Collaboration: work with multidisciplinary team, including physicians, to adjust plans.
