Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Health Center is seeking a full-time Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our nursing team in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will have wound care experience and an active RN license.

Requirements include 2+ years in medical/surgical or rehab nursing, CWOCN/CWCN certification (or obtainable after hire), knowledge of regulations, and successful background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership and supervisory skills in long-term care.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in medical/surgical or rehabilitation nursing.
• CWOCN or CWCN certification required or obtainable after hire.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Successful background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Make comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care with goals and outcomes for residents.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on wound management and prevention of ulcers.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise CNAs/GNAs and other staff; monitor performance and conduct evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with current standards and regulations as directed by Nursing leadership.

Requirements of the Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN):

• Registered Nurse (RN) with effective leadership & supervisory skills in a long-term care setting
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a medical or surgical, rehabilitation nursing setting.
• Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) or Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) required - Able to be obtained after hire!
• Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN):

• Make comprehensive wound assessments and create plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation and outcomes for residents throughout the Facility.
• Provide residents, family and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, fistulas, and ostomies, support surfaces, dressing selections and other therapies.
• Provide general direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNAs/GNAs and other nursing personnel. To monitor the performance of CNAs/GNAs, nursing and non-licensed personnel, provide education and counseling, perform disciplinary action as necessary, and complete performance evaluations.
• Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our Facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
