Job summary

Amery Hospital & Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Wound Care team in Amery, Wisconsin. The RN will assess, implement, and evaluate care for patients with chronic wounds, assist physicians with wound treatment plans, and participate in performance improvement activities.

Essential duties include initiating nursing assessments on admission, interpreting reports for physicians, documenting data, and coordinating with rehab, nutrition, and home health teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current WI RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years experience.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Initiates nursing assessment on admission and completes all admission nursing chart forms.
• Assesses and interprets reports, communicating findings with assigned Physician.
• Coordinates activities with other disciplines and healthcare team members.
• Assess, stage, measure and photograph wounds accurately.
• Assist physician with wound therapy.
• Identify patient education and discharge needs and implement education.
