Job summary

Adecco Portugal seeks a Wound Program Coordinator for an established rehabilitation hospital in Augusta, GA. This role blends hands-on patient care with clinical leadership, staff education, and program development to improve wound care outcomes.

Responsibilities include overseeing wound services, acting as a clinical resource, educating staff, coordinating with physicians and nurses, and ensuring care aligns with standards and regulations while supporting a patient-centered recovery.

Qualifications

• Current RN, PT, or OT license for an acute rehabilitation hospital.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of wound care experience.
• Ongoing wound care education through professional organizations or seminars.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and advance wound care services throughout the hospital.
• Serve as a clinical resource for wound assessment, treatment, prevention, and management.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate and train clinical staff on wound care practices, treatment techniques, and prevention strategies.
• Guide patients and families through wound care plans and ongoing prevention.
• Ensure care aligns with physician orders, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide direct patient care as needed while supporting a patient-centered approach to recovery.
• Stay current with evolving wound care treatments and evidence-based best practices.
