Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking a Plastic Surgeon in Baton Rouge, LA to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends and a compensation model based on per-patient and per-procedure pay plus bonuses.

You can choose full-time or part-time, with steady, reliable income and no overhead of running a private practice. Training in wound care is provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open Background: Plastic/Reconstructive Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds; wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing.

Education
