Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking Wound Care Physicians in Memphis, TN to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no-call, hands-on debridement, and comprehensive wound training.

Physicians from all specialties are welcome, with ongoing clinical autonomy and clear patient outcome focus. The opportunity supports part-time or full-time engagement and emphasizes efficient documentation and favorable work-life balance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background; residency and board certification/eligibility are not required; training in wound care is provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Apply advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborate with care teams in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings.

Wound Care Physician Responsibilities

Wound Care Physician Salary & Compensation

• Full-Time Average Annual Earnings: $250,000 - $500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
• High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses
• Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

Wound Care Physician Schedule

• Part-Time: 2-3 days per week
• Full-Time: 4-5 days per week

Wound Care Physician Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome physicians from all specialties. Completed residency and board certification/eligibility are not required. No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
