Carle Health is seeking an RN with wound, ostomy, or skin care expertise to manage patient care in the Wound Center and provide consultation to acute care units. The role requires an active RN license in Illinois, BLS certification, and an associate degree in nursing.

The team collaborates across departments to deliver comprehensive wound care and patient education. Responsibilities include assessing patients, coordinating orders with physicians, and educating patients and families about care

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Education: Associate's Degree: Nursing

Responsabilités

• Actively manages patient care correlating initial assessment, treatment course, and other services.
• Communicates patient care effectively.
• Calls physicians/offices to clarify physician orders.
• Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and identifies educational needs based on age-specific requirements.
• Ensures wound/ostomy/skin plan of care is understood by the continuum of care and provides patient services.
• Documents patient's response to interventions and teaches accordingly.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and plans education accordingly.
• Keeps abreast with wound care trends and participates in staff education.
• Transmits knowledge of wound care changes to staff.
