Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking a patient-care helper to support the bedside RN and charge nurse and ensure a safe, secure environment for patients, families, and staff. You will assist with maintaining a hazard-free environment, support patient-focused care, and participate in Providence's mission to deliver compassionate, high-quality health services across Alaska.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology coursework or equivalent educ/experience
• Successful completion of hospital medical terminology test within 90 days of hire
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and Charge Nurse in maintaining a safe, hazard-free, clean environment
• Facilitate communication between patient needs and the nursing team to support patient-focused care
