Job summary

Avantara Chicago Ridge is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in Chicago Ridge, IL. You will support the wound care team and the Treatment Doctor under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, assisting with lifting and repositioning to ensure resident comfort and safety.

Ideal candidates hold an unencumbered IL nursing license and CPR certification, with at least 1 year of wound care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Illinois nursing license (unencumbered) and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year wound care experience preferred.
• Ability to assist with lifting, turning, and repositioning residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care under supervision of the Treatment Doctor and wound care team.
• Assist with lifting, turning and repositioning residents during wound care.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and report them promptly.
• Maintain a safe environment and educate residents as appropriate.
