Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a compassionate Wound Care Nurse (RN) to provide expert wound and skin care to residents. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to promote healing, prevent skin breakdown, and improve quality of life.

The ideal candidate is a Florida-licensed RN with at least 2 years of nursing experience; wound care experience is preferred. Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills are essential. This is a full-time position in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• Current, active Florida RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Wound care experience preferred.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience is a plus.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor wounds and skin conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans.
• Perform routine skin assessments and identify residents at risk for pressure injuries.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality resident care.
• Assist with applicable MDS documentation.
• Educate residents and families on wound care treatments.
• Recommend appropriate wound care products, dressings, and pressure-relieving devices.
• Monitor healing progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Report concerns related to resident safety, abuse, neglect, or infection per facility policy.
