Job summary

Villa Health & Rehab in Deland, FL is seeking a Wound Care RN to join our caring team. The role focuses on wound assessments, care planning, and patient education within a supportive long-term care setting.

The RN must be licensed in Florida and have about 1 year of LTC experience, with leadership skills to supervise CNAs and collaborate with staff to deliver quality resident care.

Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse (RN):

• Perform wound assessments, reassessment, and management for all residents.
• Create plan of care including goals, treatment, evaluation and outcomes of residents.
• Provide education to residents, family, and staff regarding wound management, prevention, support, and other therapies.
• Direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNAs and other nursing personnel.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill to develop and implement policies and procedures to manage residents with wounds.

Job Requirements of Wound Care Nurse (RN):

• Must be a RN in good standing and currently licensed by the state where our facility is located (FL)
• Minimum of one years experience in long-term care setting
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to, and be an example of teamwork.
