Job summary

Swannanoa Valley Health and Rehabiliation seeks an experienced Wound Nurse to join our team. The role requires RN or LPN licensure in NC, CPR certification, and strong wound care, assessment and documentation skills.

You will perform dressing changes, monitor resident turning and nutrition, and coordinate with physicians and families. This on-site position requires reliability, professionalism, and teamwork within a Western NC facility.

Qualifications

• Wound care expertise and related nursing skills.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong documentation and assessment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive skin care, dressing changes and wound care.
• Monitor turning and positioning of residents.
• Document and communicate treatment of ulcers to physician and family.
• Join rounds with physician for residents under care.
• Assess weekly nutrition/hydration for residents with ulcers.
• Maintain clean treatment cart and restock supplies.
• Follow Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Contribute to special projects as assigned.
