Job summary

Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, Inc. seeks an experienced wound care nurse to coordinate comprehensive wound assessments and care plans across the organization. This role focuses on education for patients, families and staff on wound management and prevention of pressure injuries.

As a key resource to physicians and clinical teams, you will support dressing selections and other therapies while ensuring safe, effective care. Missouri RN licensure and CWCN/WCON certification are required.

Qualifications

• BSN required from an approved nursing program.
• Current licensure as a professional registered nurse in Missouri or licensure eligible.
• CWCN or WCON certification required.

Provides patient, family and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections and other therapies. Serves as a resource or physicians and staff.

• Graduate of an approved nursing program, BSN required
• Current licensure as a professional registered nurse in Missouri or licensure eligible required
• Two years experience in wound care required
• Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) or Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse Certification (WCON) required
• Must be well motivated, organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to serve as an example to others
• Maintains BLS
