Job summary

Elizabeth City Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a Wound Care/Treatment Nurse (RN or LPN) to evaluate, manage, and treat wounds in residents, following approved protocols and clinical standards. The role emphasizes documentation, charting, and collaboration with the wound care team.

Ideal candidates hold NC RN or LPN licensure, with wound care and long-term care experience preferred. Weekend coverage every other weekend is required. Join a supportive team focused on quality care.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license is required.
• Wound care experience and long-term care experience preferred.
• Willingness to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for wound care using safety and clinical protocols.
• Maintain complete and accurate treatment records.
• Reinforce wound healing education with patients.
• Perform daily wound care procedures as required.
• Collaborate with supervisor/medical director and wound care doctor weekly.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety programs.
• Maintain competencies and certifications as appropriate.
