Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Wound Care/Treatment Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide wound care evaluation, management, and treatments per protocol and standards.

Responsibilities include documentation, patient charting, and collaboration with patients, families, and clinical staff. Requires NC license and willingness to work every other weekend; long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina LPN or RN license.
• Wound care experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Willingness to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for wound care using safety and clinical protocols.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records/charts related to treatment documentation.
• Reinforce patient education as it relates to wound healing procedures.
• Perform daily wound healing procedures as required.
• Perform duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor/medical director.
• Participate in quality improvement program.
• Participate in safety program.
• Maintain competencies, continuing education, and certifications as appropriate.
• Day-to-day maintenance of wound care equipment.
• Work closely with wound care doctor weekly.
