Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license
• Experience with wound assessment and care workflows
• Ability to document care for reimbursement (e.g., Medicare)

Responsibilities

• Assess wounds to determine type, stage, and size and create treatment plans.
• Perform wound care including cleaning, debridement, and dressing changes with sterile technique.
• Monitor patient progress and document care for reimbursement purposes.
• Educate residents, families and staff on wound care and infection prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to adjust treatment plans.
• Write nursing orders to support wound healing and prevent skin breakdown.
• Monitor for signs of infection and implement prevention protocols.
• Stay current with wound care research and best practices.
