Job summary

Wilson Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Wilson, NC is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (PRN) to deliver specialized skin care and nursing services to residents. You will obtain treatment orders, coordinate with physicians, supervise staff, and ensure care plans are followed with compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold RN/LPN licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Wound care certification preferred or Vohra course within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in wound care and RN/LPN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Nursing team to assess and plan skin care treatment.
• Initiate referrals as needed.
• Assess residents at admission and determine when physician evaluation is required.
• Provide supervision to staff and ensure assignments are completed.
• Administer medications within RN/LPN scope and maintain narcotics records.
• Maintain charting and evaluate residents' progress monthly.
• Ensure care plans are followed and communicate residents' needs.
