Job summary

Village Green Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to join our team of dedicated health care professionals. Must have an unrestricted RN license.

Wound Care Nurse duties include planning, coordinating, providing and managing nursing care, services and health education for residents. Responsibilities include establishing standards of care, assessing and documenting wound issues, coordinating skin and ostomy care, targeting patients with complex wounds, and participating in

• Unrestricted RN license.
• Experience with wound care preferred.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and educate residents.

Responsibilities

Village Green Health and Rehabilitation is currently seeking a Wound Care Nurse to join our team of dedicated health care professionals.

Wound Care Nurse must have an unrestricted RN license.

Wound Care Nurse Duties:

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing

Wound Care Nurse will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

Positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Wound Care Nurse Responsibilities:

The Wound Care Nurse establishes standards of care and clinical competencies

Assess, document, and rack "present on admission" wound issues

Establishes training programs to ensure competence

Coordinates, negotiate, procure and manage skin and ostomy care

Targets patients with complex wounds, and skin integrity issues external to organization

Participates in performance improvement initiatives related to skin and ostomy care.

Rotates in the nurse manager on-call rotation.
