Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive wound care in a physician-led clinic in Conyers, GA. The clinician will work closely with physicians to evaluate and manage acute and chronic wounds, perform procedures, and coordinate care across the wound care team.

The role emphasizes preventive care, patient education, and collaboration with surgical and specialty teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with Georgia APN license and a MSN or DNP.
• Current Georgia license for NP or PA; board certification as applicable.
• CPR/ACLS required; hyperbaric medicine training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new patients and follow-up visits in the OP clinic.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed within scope.
• Take patient histories, conduct exams, and develop therapeutic plans.
• Order and interpret labs; obtain patient consents and coordinate with specialists.
• Perform wound care procedures and monitor patient progress.
• Diagnose and formulate treatment plans; educate patients and coordinate post-care.
• Coordinate orders for home health care and durable medical equipment.
• Conduct pre-surgical teaching/marking for ostomy care when needed.
• Train and mentor staff in wound care and clinical workflows.
