Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider in wound care to partner with physicians in the OP clinic, performing evaluations, procedures, and patient education. The role emphasizes ongoing patient care, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will lead a clinical team, coordinate orders for home health and durable medical equipment, and provide pre/postoperative guidance.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program with Georgia licensure for advanced practice nursing or PA licensure.
• Current Georgia license, CPR/ACLS, and NCCPA credentials as applicable.
• Experience in wound care or hyperbaric medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations for new patients and follow-up visits; collaborate with physicians in the clinic.
• Conduct diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and interpret results; order labs as needed.
• Document patient history, exams, workups, and progress notes; maintain records.
• Explain procedures to patients; obtain consent and coordinate with specialists.
• Deliver wound care procedures including debridement, dressings, and negative pressure therapy.
• Lead a clinical team; monitor progress and escalate when criteria are not met.
• Coordinate orders for home health care and durable medical equipment.
• Provide pre-surgical teaching and postoperative coordination with surgeons.
• Educate staff and trainees; support clinical operations when physician absent.
